We can’t change the world,
but we can make a world of difference for the animals in need that we meet.
Showing homes daily, for years, we sometimes come across animals in need. Unwanted, lost or forgotten.
When you work with us, you also support our efforts to find homes for, transport or rescue animals in need. From tiny birds that spent years in tiny cages, to cats and dogs, and even horses (saved from slaughter). Some animals enter our lives for a day or a week, others for a lifetime.
We also support well known animal charities, a humane society and the wildlife center with annual contributions. Thank you for making that possible.

Meet “Pikachu”
He was a nameless shadow of a bird when we stumbled upon him in our neighborhood. This small exotic bird had been confined to a small 2'x2' cage and kept in an unheated garage through winters. His cage was covered by a fine mesh that only allowed him to see shapes and shadows. His partner passed away, his food was contaminated with mold. We noticed his screams for attention because the owner kept him outside even when temperatures reached single digits in October.
The owner, citing allergies, did not care to keep one but asked for a price three times above market prices. Without hesitation, we bought him on the spot, before the owner changed her mind.
Today, he is a cherished member of our family, enjoying freedom all day long, accompanied by two friends, 6 distant cousins and in the summer he enjoys outdoor aviary that is 100 times larger than the cage we found him in.
Meet Dancer & Dahr
It wasn’t always easy. Beata was unfamiliar with horses, yet she didn't think twice about saving Dancer when they crossed paths. Through a gradual learning process, Beata acquired experience and knowledge to care for these beautiful animals. Today, Dancer enjoys a wonderful life on a farm in Burlington and has become a cherished member of our family. Shortly after, a large, malnourished draft horse named Dahr joined us too. Both horses were rescued, from certain end, having been purchased at a meat market.
to learn how we rescued “Potcakes” from Bahamas
These “potcakes”(mix-breed island dogs) were saved when a major charity chartered a plane during the volcano air crisis - to bring them to homes in Ontario. The problem was, financial goal was unmet, so we decided to make the largest single donation this local charity ever received, and completed the mission. Your support of our business, and our contributions, helped to rescue over 200 cats and dogs, including the final 10 cats and dogs that would never make it, home.
...these are just some of the stories, to be continued.
